January/February 2012 Issue
Our January/February 2012 issue is at the printer. We start the new year out with a bang featuring Fort Sumter and the Siege of Charleston as our Sesquicentennial Series continues. Info about Stand Watie Scholarships, the Sam Davis Youth Camps and our 2012 National Reunion are included. Did you know the SCV once owned Manassas Battlefield Park? Well, we did and we gave it to the Park Service in 1942. Read all about it in the January/February issue.

November/December 2011 Issue
Our November/December 2011 issue was sent to the printer on October 1. Highlights include articles about this year's Sam Davis Youth Camp and the General Mahone Tavern in Virginia. Our Sesquicentennial series continues with an excellent essay by Leonard M. Scruggs on The Morrill Tariff, plus all our usual features. The deadline for the January/February 2012 issue is November 1.

The September/October issue of the Confederate Veteran magazine is in the mail and everyone should be receiving it within the week. Deadline for the next issue, November/December, is September 1!

September/October 2011 Issue
Our September/October issue is at the printer! The cover features photos from our recent National Reunion in Montgomery, Alabama. Our Sesquicentennial series continues with a deep essay on the constitutionally of secession by Dr. John Emison. A very important article in our series. An introduction to the new National Guardian Program for adopting Confederate Veterans' graves is also included.

Why the War Was Not About Slavery
The groundbreaking essay Why the War Was Not About Slavery by Donald W. Livingston was the first essay in our Sesquicentennial Series. It is now being printed in booklet form and will be available in time for our National Reunion in Montgomery in July. Special bulk pricing will be available for camps. More details to come shortly.

The May/June 2001 issue is now at the printer. Our sesquicentennial series continues with The March To Secession by Walter Brian Cisco, a report from the Heritage Rally in Montgomery, AL, also a report from our compatriots in Europe with their efforts in marking Confederate graves. All of our usual features along with a return of the Hallowed Ground column are included.
